Prettify Me: Halloween Nail Art

What better way to match a Halloween Costume/outifit but a themed nail art. Prettify yourself for Halloween with a spider-web nail art. All you need is a Black and Orange Nail Polish and a creative mind for the spooky outfit:)
Check out this Nail Art article from TeenVogue's Learn How to Create The Perfect Halloween Manicure
*Photo's courtesy by Pixie Polish

Step One: Apply a Base coat followed by your Orange Polish
Step Two: Create the French Tip
Using black acrylic crafting paint and a toothpick (or brush if you prefer!), create an outline for a french tip. Then, fill in the tip with black nail polish.

Step Three: Start Your Lines

Next, using black acrylic paint, make five lines down the nail, all meeting at the middle of the tip.

Step Four: Add Intersecting Curves

Using the black craft paint again, create thin curves connecting each line. Apply a top coat and you're done!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

DIY: Carve a Pumpkin for Halloween

Ichigo girls .... let's have fun!
Halloween is almost here! One must know how to make Halloween pumpkins. Pumpkins are available at most supermarkets and are very easy to make. You just need a pumpkin, a knife and some dose of creativity.  They are the ultimate Halloween decor.
Here's how to carve a pumpkin from Martha Stewart

1.Cut a Hole in the Pumpkin

The first step is hollowing out the pumpkin. Use a keyhole saw to cut the hole. If you'll be using a candle for illumination, you can cut the hole in the pumpkin's top.  For electric lights, make the hole in the bottom or side so you can hide the cord.

2. Scoop Out the Flesh

Scoop out flesh, pulp, and seeds with a plaster scraper or a big spoon.

3. Transfer Your Design
Now it's time to transfer your selected designs . Affix it to the pumpkin, and trace the design by poking holes with a fork or a sharp awl

4. Carve the Features

Remove the template and carve along the pattern with a miniature saw or knife. If you want to make holes in the pumpkin for eyes, use a drill equipped with a 1/2-inch or 3/4-inch spade bit.

You can also get creative with patterns and designs.

Tip: Prevent exposed areas of the pumpkin's flesh from turning brown by applying a film of Vaseline.

♥Light up your pumpkin and enjoy!

Candy Recipe

Ichigo girl loves rock candy.  It looks beautiful whether you use it as fun party decoration or as classy wedding decorations, it always seems to draw attention.

Here's a super quick, super fun, rock candy recipe in time for trick or treat.
from candy.com

Ingrdients:

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp. flavoured oil
Food colouring

Cook the first 3 ingredients to 300 degrees. Remove from heat then add flavoured oil and food colouring.

Pour quickly onto greased cookie sheet. Cool slightly and cut into small pieces. Or wait until it has cooled down completely and break if you want uneven pieces.

Flavoured oil can be any flavour desired and you can add different food colourings to individual batches.

For candy sticks:

If you want to put the broken crystals on a stick to make rock candy swizzle sticks:

Wet a wooden stick by dipping it into cooked sugar syrup (same as you’ve made for step one of the rock candy recipe, just make far less and leave it clear) now roll the wooden stick in the broken crystals, let it dry, wet again by drizzling a bit of sugar syrup on this time and roll in the crystals, repeat the process until you have the desired result.

Super for decorating cakes, cup cakes, for colorful party table decorations and instant swizzle sticks.
